something still really tickles me pink till this very day.
its how jun ying described eugene after she laid eyes on him for the first time during an outing to some TKGS band concert with an exchange programme with Nakamura Gakuen Girls' School.
(for the record, Nakamura was BETTER than TKGS. ha.)

Nakamura had all those cool indoor gimmicks and their trombones were pretty loud taking into consideration that they only had THREE TROMBONES as opposed to TKGS who had about ten. they carefully balanced their tubas on their palms and held it high above their heads and the trombone were lifted exactly 180 degrees and their volume was still the same. plus, they could even crescendo till a fearsome volume.
TUBAS leh.
rich tones with superb air support. such was the quality of their finely tuned thick harmonic sound. it was truely the epitome of the immortal "one band one sound" from band flick drumline. classic example.
the soloists were fantastic and they received standing ovations. i almost gave them one myself until i remembered eugene was just beside me and i didnt want to look like some band obsessed geek. -______-

i digress.

jun ying described eugene as a "more macho, grown up, tanner, taller and handsomer version of chin kiat".
(chin kiat used to be MY junior until he was transferred to euphonium section. bloody hell.)
ok, i dont have a picture of chin kiat to show you guys and i dont have a picture of eugene too.
so i cant do that comparing thingy.
but anyway.

personally, i dont really agree fully with what jun ying said.
because, knowing eugene, hes far from how she described him actually.
macho? er, well, maybe yes. guess so. considering that chin kiat is really puny and has chopsticks for limbs.
grown up? hahaha. *milk shoots out of nose* grown up my foot ah. sometimes, i think that eugene has the personality of a twelve year old in a fourteen year old body. he'll do things like standing on my right and tapping my left shoulder. how grown up. haha.
tanner? almost everybody i know is tan lor. notice i said ALMOST. hahaha, everybody with the exception of gerrell who is ghost white and looks like as if he has neither seen the light of day nor even experienced sun before. haha. kidding. wait, actually, no. HAHAHA!
taller? everybody who is 160cm and above is definitely taller than chin kiat. estimation la. so, its not nescessarily 160+ then taller than chin kiat, maybe 150+ then can liao. =) kidding la.
handsomer? er, well, hmm. thats a very good question. haha. i should maybe say yes but of course, there are times when eugene can look really really retarded. and i have a picture which serves as a very good example but i shall not do him the honour of putting it on my blog.
(is there even such a word as handsomer in the first place?)

i should really be going off to sleep now.
